Nice, has much to offer to visitors discovering the area for the first time, and for those who choose to return time and again. Here are a few photos of Nice to illustrate the diversity of the sights you might enjoy.
The city has been built alongside the Mediterranean in an area surrounded by beautiful hills that are covered with lush vegetation, and from where you have many stunning views and panoramas over the city and the sea.
The capital of the French Riviera features several distinct districts, each with its own "flavor". The old town and the Promenade take you from the picturesque to scenes of sheer beauty. The hills of Cimiez and the Baumettes have a Victorian style and offer various well known museums. From the Place Massena to the "Avenue", or the pedestrian walk, you will experience a lively atmosphere and many shops, restaurants and cafés.
For those in search of authenticity there are many more areas to explore in Nice: the hill of Gairaut with its Belle Epoque rocaille water fall, its canal walk overlooking the city and sea, the Parc Chambrun and its Temple of Love, Pessicart's winding road surrounded with villas and hanging gardens, Eiffel's observatory on top of Mont Gros, the Mont Boron with its views, its citadel overlooking Villefranche, the deep blue sea and the strange looking "Maison de l'Anglais" a Calcutta style mansion built in the XIXt century by a retired officer of Her Majesty's army. Let's not forget the incredible Russian Cathedral built by the Czar Nicholas II in a district known as "Tsarewitch" and where to this day many descendant of White Russian families still live.....

The appartment will appeal to those who want a holiday in a real "Niçoise" atmosphere, as this rental that has been remodelled and furnished in the Art Deco style. This 33 sq meters rental apartment has its own entrance at the garden level of the villa and is perfect holiday accommodation for vacations on the French Riviera.
The apartment has its own exotic garden with table and chairs for meals outside, and lounge chairs for sun bathing.
The living area has a sofa, an armoire, a chest of drawers, a TV with satellite ( BBC World, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, etc...). There is also a double bed with a firm Simmons mattress. The bathroom has a large shower, a sink and a toilet.
French windows open onto your balcony, which overlooks the garden and provides a view over the hills of Nice.
The sit-in kitchen has a table a chairs, a washing washer, microwave oven, a gas range and a refrigerator with a separate deep freeze section.
Brigitte is a gourmet cook and she has equipped the kitchen with all the utensils and small appliances that you will need. It is decorated in French Provencal style, with an antique armoire.
A french window leads from the kitchen to your private garden with table and chairs. By the way... if you need "Herb de Provence", you only have to ask Charles, because he grows them in his garden! The apartment has wireless DSL Internet access, so for those with a lap-top computer, you can email some holiday photos of Nice to make your friends very jealous!
